Hand-carved woodblock portrait of my Mokuhanga sensei, Hiroki Morinoue. In the portrait he is preparing his woodblock to print. Hiroki is a world renowned artist and teacher of Japanese woodblock techniques, mokuhanga. Mokuhanga is an old-school, non-toxic, labor-intensive form of woodblock printing.
