My daughter, Devi, did this drawing of Durga. I asked her if i could carve her. I find her so charming. I did try to make her face look a bit like my daughter. In that way she becomes part of my Everyday Goddess series.
Durga is a protector Goddesses.
I hand carved a mokuhanga woodblock and then, hand-rubbed her onto mulberry paper using a baren.
