Environmental Buddha
In this piece I have been thinking about the Buddhist ideal of freeing All Sentient Beings from suffering. These beautiful creatures are also sentient beings and it is so important that we care for and protect them. I want to do a series of Environmental Buddhas. I used blue throughout the painting to represent interconnectedness. I included elephants and orangutans as they lived with us at the zoo where I grew up.
