A digital portrait of my nephew Tom. I spent 6 weeks at the Mi-lab (Mokuhanga Innovation laboratory) in advanced art residency expanding my knowledge and practice of mokuhanga, Japanese woodblocks. my nephew lived about 30 minutes away for residency at the base of mount Fuji. he is his sweet wife Kayo would pick me up on the weekends to spend time with him and his amazing kids.
I wanted to see if I could catch what a good ll-around guy he is. Feels like it to me.
