This is a charming smaller painting (12x16 inches) of the healing Buddha. Medicine Buddha is invoked for physical, mental and emotional health. I painted this on Hawaiian fabric mounted on canvas. Medicine Buddha is probably my favorite Buddhist subject. I have seen so many people benefit from the practice of the healing Buddha.
My mom would call me when a friend or relative was sick and say "Faith I'll pray the rosary and you do the Medicine Buddha practice. We'll have our loved ones covered from both sides."
If nothing else we were surrounding our loved ones with positive energy and love.
