Durga with mountain lion and tulips

Durga is a protector goddess. Typically she rides a lion or tiger. I gave her a mountain lion to represent Colorado. There was an abundance of tulips in our yard when I was doing this drawing so, I put them in the foreground. The background is Eldorado Canyon.
Large Moku Hanga print (traditional Japanese woodblock) hand carved and hand rubbed to print using watercolor inks. Moku Hanga a labor intensive old school printmaking practice. After printing I watercolor painted the image.
