An elegant standing Tara who represents wisdom and compassion. She is the female Buddha. She is in a Hawaiian landscape with Hualalai Mountain. A dragon and phoenix soar in the sky and small Hawaiian i'ili birds perch on lehua flowers.
Large Moku Hanga print (traditional Japanese woodblock) hand carved and hand rubbed to print using watercolor inks. Moku Hanga a labor intensive old school printmaking practice. After printing I hand painted the artwork with watercolors.
