Two armed VajraKalaya
gouache on Cotton
48 x 60
1992

This painting was done under the guidance and supervision of the Brother Khenpos: Khen Rinpoche and Khnepo Tsewang Dongyal. This two armed VajraKalaya is particular to their lineage. It is tradional in Thangka painting to copy the work of masters to learn. In this case, students of the Khenpos took photographs of my thangka and took it to thangka painters in nepal where then, my painting was copied and reproduced for students to use in their practice. I was thrilled to see this tradition continue from a Western students work.
